In 2005, Chris was signed onto his first NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle Team, making his debut in the premier class at the Gator Nationals season opener in Florida; Attended Frank Hawley School of Drag Racing twice; and earned a runner-up finish in Atlanta. 2006 was a much more eventful year with Chris attending 15 races and qualifying for seven. Continuing on the path to success, Chris reached two semifinals and earned a then-career-best 11 round-wins in 2007.
2008 was the golden year when Chris earned his first-ever NHRA Playoff berth; Won three races in the Countdown to 1 to finish second in the final standings; Earned his first career win (Chicago) and went on to win three more races; finishing the season 5 qualifying points from the World Championship. A few years later in 2017, Chris was hired on as crew chief for the first year of the newly formed Team Liberty Racing in the NHRA Pro-Stock motorcycle circuit. He spent the year traveling from his home in Fresno, CA, where he was still running his shop, to the team shop and headquarters in Cordele, GA as well as the entire race circuit, where he was instrumental in the development of Team Liberty's new engine program. Some of the worlds greatest engine builders from the NHRA and NASCAR have passed their secrets on to Chris and that technology is passed on to every customer that trust's their engine's performance to CRVT.
